Katy Moling,

from La Val, South Tyrol, Italy.

Art and curiosity have always been part of me. The expressiveness of the mountains seduced me at first and later I started to admire the metropolitan chaos. Now I am very happy to define the Dolomites my home. However, this does not stop me from crossing the borders and discovering new things outside the Ladin world.

My university career began in Padua, with a degree in Discipline delle Arti, della Musica e dello spettacolo. This was followed by a master's degree in art history at the University of Vienna. Since 2012 I have been project manager and responsible for the didactic area in the Museum Ladin Ciastel de Tor in San Martino in Badia.

Working in Val Badia has allowed me to strengthen the direct contact with the Ladin culture. I fell in love in the stories of the people and in the ever-present sacredness in all traditions.

In my work, I pay particular attention to the maintenance and transmission of the artistic plurality present in the Ladin valleys. I have already designed and organized various projects as well as exhibitions and intercultural projects. As a freelance curator I am always looking for diversity and artistic innovation.
